Ruby's 1!!

I can't believe how fast that year went by. It seemed like she didn't even get a baby stage, she started everything so early. I still can't believe she started walking at 10 months.

Well we didn't do much for her birthday. We just had a relaxing day and then had our friends Amanda and Steve over for dinner and cake.

We did a little photo shoot in her cute birthday outfit. It was so fun!! I love dressing her up all girly
Hendrix and Ruby
This is what the other 6 pics I tried to get of them looked like

I LOVE this picture she is all dressed up and sooo happy!!!
The little cakes I made. They were a pain in the ass to make but they turned out so cute. I only iced the whole thing on this one because it took me forever, so the rest of them I just iced the tops. White cake with banana cream filling YUMM!!

Hendrix having a dance party in the kitchen. This happens all the time

Kole ripped a piece of the wrapping paper off to show her and she was trying to put it back together

November and December

It kinda seemed like we skipped November, it went by so quickly. My parents came up for the Remembrance day weekend so we hung out with them. I had to work on the Saturday so we didn't do much just kind of relaxed. Well that weekend Ruby decided to take 5 steps on her own and that was the start of her walking.  At 9 months she decided it was time, and by 10 months she was full out walking. I definitely wasn't ready for it and still look at her and think she is growing up way to fast.

The rest of November and beginning of December consisted a lot of working and the few days that I didn't work we were out Christmas shopping and packing. We had put in to get a bigger place here on base and we got it, the only downside was that they decided a good possession date would be the 19th of December, not even a week before Christmas. We weren't too impressed but got moved out of our place and into the new place within 3 days. Kole's mom and 2 little sisters came and helped and he had a friend come and help with the big stuff. It was a crazy long week trying to get moved, unpacked and ready for Christmas but somehow we did it. (well we pretty much just got the essentials unpacked and then just whatever else we had time for.)

Well I guess onto the pictures of our Christmas.

Hendrix opening his jammies Christmas eve. He told me if it was clothes he was going to be mad haha

Well it was clothes, but he was so excited (even though he doesn't look excited in the pic)
because they were captain america jammies

Ruby with her jammies.
Hendrix in front of out tree. Yes we have palm trees, Kole has wanted them for a few years now and I just kept thinking they would be so tacky. Well his mom bought him some for Christmas and brought them up when she came to help us move. They put them up and they are actually pretty cool!!

 And.... caught
 Kole being........well Kole
Christmas morning. Ruby showing me what Santa brought her

I got some boots, a new coffee maker and a little pink tool kit for Christmas. I don't like the pics of me so you don't get to see them. But here is Kole opening his presents from the kids, they are tin signs. I am still waiting on the gift I got him to get here. It only got ordered the beginning of November. So ya I am pretty pissed off about that.....

Boxing day we headed down to Raymond to go see family, it was filled with us being crazy busy and having pretty much every day full of stuff to do. I totally forgot to take pictures while we were down there so ya I suck... but we all got spoiled. We were so happy when we got home but once we got everything in the house it was trashed again and it took awhile to get back together.

Well on Monday I started working out again. It has only been 3 months since the last time... I really suck at sticking to things but I really need to stick to this if I want to get to my goal weight!! Since I started working out and eating good, in August I think it was, I have lost just about 30lbs. I am pretty proud of my self but I still have a ways to go. If I can stick to working out and eating healthy I am hoping I will be at or close to my goal weight by our anniversary, which is June 24. Wish me luck!!

Halloween

This year I wasn't really into Halloween. I didn't want to go out and buy over priced costumes that don't last very long and I didn't feel like making any either. And I was in Raymond until like a week before Halloween so hardly any decorations got put up. Well it all worked out anyways, I had the skunk costume Hendrix wore on his first Halloween and it fit Ruby so she was a skunk. Hendrix was a little harder, my mom had 2 ninja turtle costumes she had made for my brothers when they were little, so I had to convince Hendrix that's what he wanted to be. It took a lot of convincing and Kole had to download all the ninja turtle movies that we watched over and over and over again until the day before Halloween Hendrix was convinced. Success!!

A few pictures of the kids in their costumes

I know your probably thinking why would she post this picture?? But I like it even though his face is covered

Kole took the kids out trick or treating since I had a job interview that night. He said it was lame. Every one was out of candy by like 6:30 and Hendrix got like nothing. But he still had fun and that's all that counts right. And he had all our candy as well because we only got like 12 kids, which is really odd for the base.

So now onto my job. It was Halloween morning and I was on Edmonton job shop ( I go on there every once in awhile to check for jobs, but haven't had any luck) I came across an add for the book fair company that said evenings and weekends, and it was on the north side so I applied. After lunch I decided to check my email and I had one from the book fair company asking when I would be able to come for an interview so I told them I could any night once my husband gets home from work. I figured they would want to meet later in the week but no they wanted to meet that night. So I went, it was sketchy... I mean really sketchy for one the interview was at like 7:30 at night at a storage unit. They gave me a code to the gate so I could drive around back and said they would meet me at the back door. Well I had my "interview" in which they said we want to work around your schedule and here's the keys to the place meet back here tomorrow night.

Well I love my job, I work at the warehouse unpacking boxes and pricing and shelving the product. Its mainly toys and books for kids they also have cook books, stationary stuff, and a few books and things for adults. They get a lot of cool stuff in. I go in when ever I want or can and then I leave when I want. It is easy and slack and they are the nicest people. It is like the perfect job!! and it couldn't have come at a more perfect time.
